Grace Venture Challenge Missional Strategy

Grace Venture Challenge Goal

Develop, implement and maintain an overarching strategy for Grace Evangelical Church missional involvement.  Where and how will GEC's money and people be focused in order to participate in the accomplishment of the Great Commission?

3 Ministry Areas of Focus:

Church Establishing Ministries

Church Responsibility Ministries

Church Ancillary Ministries

Grace Venture Strategy Committee

GVSC will meet at least twice a month with additional meetings if necessary.  The two main objectives of this body are to establish strategy and Ministry Initiative Team (MIT) and monthly supported ministry (MSM) oversight.  With three E-Zone Elders sitting on the committee, it is anticipated that a smooth flow of information will develop between the Session (policy making body) and the Grace Venture Strategy Committee (strategic and oversight body).

Ministry Initiative Teams

Each Ministry Initiative Team (MIT) will meet as needed with GVSC.  Ministry Initiative Team leaders will communicate with Grace Venture Strategy Committee on a regular basis, give reports of ministry, and if needed, request annual budgets.

Focus Areas

Six Focus Areas are proposed to assist organize and evaluate GEC missional involvement.  To distribute the oversight task, 1-2 Grace Venture Strategy laypeople will be assigned to each Focus Area.

The six focus areas are:

1) children and families
2) church planting
3) discipleship
4) evangelism
5) mercy
6) under resourced

Grace Venture Message

The Grace Venture Strategy Committee, the missions pastor and all Ministry Initiative Teams will participate in the communication of the Grace Venture message –

LIVE More Simply; GIVE More Sacrificially; ACCOMPLISH the Great Commission.

As a result, it is anticipated that an increasing number of the congregation will adopt the Grace Venture lifestyle.
